It’s that time of year again – spring! It’s one of the busiest seasons when you’re a parent: spring activities have only just started, but it’s also time to plan everyone’s summer schedule. On top of all that is the dreaded spring clean. But don’t worry! Whether you have just 15 minutes or a whole weekend for spring cleaning, we can help you streamline your routine with our pro tips and multi-purpose plant powered products.

Cleaning your house from top to bottom is often overwhelming, exhausting and time-sapping. Make it easier on yourself by going room by room with our Rebel Green spring organizing and cleaning pro tips.

Multi-purpose products like our Super Deluxe Dish Soap, All Purpose Cleaner, Fresh Room and Linen Spray kissed with essential oils, work wonders all over your home so you can save on buying single purpose products. For example, our Super Deluxe Dish Soap is the spring cleaning hero you’ve been looking for. You won’t believe all the areas this wonder product can help you tackle. Read on to see its many uses.

1 – Gather your cleaning supplies

To begin, make sure you gather all the best plant powered products:

  • All Purpose Cleaner
  • Dish Soap
  • Tub and Tile Cleaner
  • Toilet Bowl Cleaner
  • Room and Linen Spray
  • Glass Cleaner
  • Fresh Laundry Detergent
  • Delicates Wash
  • hand soaps
  • Fresh Room and Linen Spray

2 – Shine up Pots and Pans

For residue that is burned on add Super Deluxe Dish Soap and warm water to your cookware and bring it to a simmer on the stove. Use a scrubbing sponge to help remove remaining stuck-on bits.

With a little DIY + SDD (Super Deluxe Dish Soap), you can make your own stainless steel cleaner for sparkling appliances.

Simply make a solution of 1 teaspoon Super Deluxe Dish Soap and mix with 1 quart hot tap water. Using an eco-friendly microfiber cloth, rub the detergent solution onto the scuffs one small section at a time, with the grain. Rinse with clean, hot water and dry immediately with a dry, clean cloth. It’s an easy way to bring back the sparkle on all of your stainless steel surfaces.

3 – Refresh makeup brushes

To clean your makeup brushes of foundation, powder, concealer, blush or eye shadow, squeeze a few drops of Super Deluxe Dish Soap into your palm and rub the soap into the brush tips, gently work the suds through them. Rinse under the warm running water. Shake gently over the sink to remove all the excess water, and this is important: make sure you lay the brush down flat on a paper towel to finish drying.

4 – Clean and Wipe down outdoor furniture

With summer on its way, it’s time to start thinking about getting your outdoor furniture ready for the season. Put some Super Deluxe Dish Soap in a bowl of warm water, then wipe down tables and chairs. Fill an empty spray bottle with warm water and spray the outdoor furniture down, then leave to let air dry.

5 – Clean the Shower the smart way, not the hard way

When it comes to spring cleaning your shower, all you need is our Tub and Tile Cleaner on the tiles and Sparkling Glass cleaner on fixtures and glass doors.

Here’s a pro tip you might not have thought of: use our USDA Certified Organic Laundry Detergent to wash your shower curtains that get frequently overlooked during regular cleanings. Set the washer on the gentle cycle along with your towels with your favorite organic laundry detergent. Hang and let dry before showering. For regular maintenance, spritz your shower curtain a few times each month with our plant powered All Purpose Cleaner. Rinse them off with the shower.

6 – Wash the kids’ stuffed animals

You might want to wait until your kids are out of the house for this next tip. Check the care label on the stuffed animal first to make sure it’s machine washable. Then, place them in a mesh bag made from netting or a pillowcase before putting them in the washing machine. Wash them on the delicate cycle with our Delicates Wash.

7 – Wash comforters, pillows, bedspreads

It’s time to tackle bulky items you typically avoid: clean those pillows and wash those comforters! Big, bulky items typically need to be washed only three times a year (though if your pets sleep with you, you probably want to wash them more). Check the care tag before tossing ’em into the washing machine. Wash with our Organic Delicates Wash or Organic Fresh Laundry Detergent.

8 – Relax and enjoy a job well-done

And just like that, you’ll freshen up those fabrics, get those overlooked appliances squeaky clean, remove stains that you’ve forgotten about all winter and more.
